ACCA has provided OpenTuition with this official response to share with our students:
“From 8.15am to 11.15am [11 December 2020] there was an outage on the myACCA platform. We investigated the issue as a matter of urgency with our IT suppliers.
About 200 students were impacted by this outage. We were able to send them a SMS with a workaround link that was available from 10.15 for them to try to access the portal to launch their exam. We understand this worked for the majority.
If a student has been unable to sit their exam today, then we are contacting them about their options.
Again, we apologise profusely for the inconvenience caused today.”
December 11, 2020 at 5:59 pm #599519Hi,
I saw a post somewhere where you can take AAA on Monday, but I cannot find it?
I am asking ACCA if I can arrange this for Monday? Please can you get back to me.
Anisa
December 12, 2020 at 8:06 am #599649@Anisa – only Applied Skills exams are available to sit next week – the exam week for these exams was already extended for remote exam bookings before exam registration deadlines because considerably more student needed to be scheduled to sit remote exams at that level. There are NO strategic professional exams scheduled for next week.
December 13, 2020 at 7:09 am #599769hi i was unable to start with the FM exam on 11th.when i tried to rebook the exam,i was told to withdraw first, and then rebook.so when i clicked “withdraw” the “rebook” option was gone!!they adjusted my exam fees with the annual subscription due but that is not an issue.i want to know when can i rebook and si tfor FM??
December 13, 2020 at 7:52 am #599771@ajitadhikari – you must contact ACCA directly – there are exams scheduled for next Friday 18th
contact ACCA either by telephone +44 (0)141 582 2000 or via https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us
I don’t think you should expect anyone to be answering the phone on a Sunday – though you could try. I suggest use the form and follow up with a call tomorrow.

so in none case can i resume?
What if timer resumes after light comes.December 14, 2020 at 3:31 pm #599934@Poornimas – see here in FAQs https://www.accaglobal.com/ie/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/computer-based-exams/on-demand-cbes/remote-on-demand-cbe-info/remote-on-demand-cbe-faqs.html
11th Q: What will happen if there are technical issues during the exam?
“If the cancellation or premature end of the exam was caused by internet connectivity, power outage etc. the candidate is entitled to RESCHEDULE the exam free of charge, but no refund will be granted.”
I would have thought if power lost you will be disconnected from the platform so it would not be possible to “resume”.

contact ACCA either by telephone +44 (0)141 582 2000 or via https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us
Select “I am a student” from the contact form and then select the most appropriate option “withdraw and apply credit”

@anali24
contact ACCA either by telephone +44 (0)141 582 2000 or via https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-usDecember 16, 2020 at 12:21 pm #600115I sat my f5 exam today and they had tech issues from their side where they couldnt see my face 40 minutes into the exam. had to relaunch exam twice and reboot laptop once as well. I lost about 10 minutes of exam time. Ive submitted a mitigation claim but im unsure if thats gonna be successful
December 16, 2020 at 2:21 pm #600123I suffered a weird issue, during the technical checkup (after I clicked and submitted all the photos from my phone) a pop up showed up and said “sorry there’s a technical error. We’ll arrange for another exam free of charge, don’t worry” something like this and then in the pop up notification they also mentioned a link to go through from my phone. As soon as I started typing out the link, the notification went away and my exam started automatically. There was no proctor person, no chat box, no audio/video check going on during the exam. I didn’t know what to do, I did email them for the same through the contact us for remote exams. But I don’t know if I was supposed to carry on with the exam/not. I did the exam and submitted. It affected a lot, my mind was wandering due to this issue. Any idea what will happen? Will my exam be accepted?
December 16, 2020 at 3:47 pm #600129@gargi5 – OT does not have access to ACCA’s systems – please contact ACCA either by telephone +44 (0)141 582 2000 or via https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us
