Also received my certificate in the post and I have ordered a frame to decorate my wall π ! @Chris have you thought about going a step further to do the DipIFR course? I plan to do it June 2020.
April 27, 2019 at 6:17 pm #514334Until thursday I was graduate pending member and from friday on myacca account i am seeing only “member”. Does that mean that I am officially a member? I am asking this because I haven’t received any email regarding confirmation of my membership. Should there be an email with the certificate in pdf?
April 28, 2019 at 9:53 am #514417Hi
Just to check, are there any disadvantage of not converting to ACCA member? Will employers question why we are not taking the membership?
I have become an affiliate and have no plan to pay my annual subscription anymore. Thanks in advance.

It may be a few more days before you get email confirmation though.

Yes, some employers will want you to be qualified, not just have passed all the exams. That means being a full member, complying with the ethics code, paying your fees and completing CPD. That’s what makes accountancy a profession not just a training course.
May 6, 2019 at 3:25 pm #515101Hi,
Just to check. I have apply the ACCA membership on 29 April 2019.
Until 3rd of May, there is no confirmation of receive email from ACCA, thus i had call to ACCA to confirm and ACCA told me that they dint received any application from me. ACCA need me to submit the hardcopy applicable. I had submitted the hardcopy application on 3rd of May also. Until now, i dint hear anything from ACCA. Anyone face this situation? Is this situation normal? As i saw from this forum, normally they received the email from ACCA within 2 – 3 days.
Thanks in advance.
May 20, 2019 at 5:29 pm #516611Has anyone received their certificate yet?
Got my seal approved and signed off on 1st May 2019 however not received my certificate in the post yet! I am in the UK so would not think it should take this long to arrive…
Wanted to see if anyone else is in the same situation!
May 20, 2019 at 8:39 pm #516644I received an email confirmation of my membership last week. I think after their next council meeting, that’s when the certificates will be sent out.
Does anyone know when the next council meeting is?
Thanks,
ED

September 12, 2019 at 8:21 am #545918Hello everyone,
I have read almost all the conversation in this thread. I had some queries which I would like to ask here. I was accepted as ACCA member on 15th August, 2019. I have paid the required fee.
I wanted to ask that how will I know that my ACCA certificate is sealed and dispatched as there is no indication on myACCA or business website?
Your guidance with regards to timeline of certificate seal and dispatching will be highly appreciated.
Regards,

TayyabThe next council meeting is 19th September. Your certificate will be signed and sealed following that meeting. I believe the 12 week countdown happens from that point but that most people will receive it well within 12 weeks.
September 15, 2019 at 8:43 am #546183Thanks James for the answer.
My question is, will I be notified once the certificate is sealed or dispatched. Thanks again for your help. I’m just curious to know this part.
September 16, 2019 at 10:38 am #546247I am in the same position as yourself, just waiting for the certificate so I cannot say for sure whether you get an email to confirm that it has been sealed and dispatched. From reading this forum in the past it looks like you only get told it will be 12 weeks from being accepted as a member (subject to council dates) and that you don’t get anymore info on it. I suppose after the next meeting you could maybe contact ACCA to confirm your certificate was included in those sealed at the most recent meeting.

If you don’t pay subscription, you will eventually be kicked from the register.
