Hello tutor,
I read an article from ACCA titled “Industry Question” and the author answered the questions with really short but concise points.
One example taken from it is: “So the property has to move back into non-current assets; I suggest as an investment property.”
I really like these short simple points but will that be sufficient to gain a mark? I notice that I have been answering the questions using the style of answers in the revision kit as a guide and this barely allows me sufficient time to plan adequately before writing.
Also, should we be writing the criteria given in the standard first before applying them to the question? Will writing these gain any marks at all?

Don’t even try to answer the questions in the same style as the ones in the revision kit. They are impossible to replicate.
Yes, stick to what you’ve seen written in the article and also have a look at what I’ve done in the few revision videos that there are on the website.
If you’re struggling to write an answer then by all means write out the rules from the standard as you will score credit for them but don’t forget the application of those rules.
