Sir,
I have a doubt in note2. Transaction with in equity can be written as,
Dr. Cash. 18
Cr. OCI. 6.3
Cr. NCI. 11.68
(134+12)*8%
How to adjust this entry in CSOCI
i thought someone asked this few days back
when you are dealing the disposal between the owner and NCI, provided that co is still a subsidiary, it is calculated as equity movement, under CSOCI, no adjustment needed
but the question says the parent credited the income to OCI, which is not correct, you have to minus it out
The 5.3m is adjusted in SOFP, under OCE
nevermind its different question, this was in part b ..my bad
Hi anjujoseph,
The entry you have made appears correct but it would appear in the consolidated statement of changes in equity and hence we don’t see it in the answer.
Thanks
