April 18, 2022 at 12:45 am #653607Passed first time with 75%! I found preparing for this paper so challenging and couldn’t have done it without OpenTuition and their wonderful resources
April 18, 2022 at 12:47 am #653608Passed with 81% and I am obviously over the moon but at the same time utterly speechless right now!
I don’t understand how it’s even possible I got that mark as I completely flopped section B. Part of me is terrified that they somehow typed my mark wrong or something
April 18, 2022 at 12:54 am #653612By the grace of god passed first time, 61%. What a difficult paper, I sat the UK version.
April 18, 2022 at 1:04 am #653616Passed with 70% 1st attempt! Really don’t know where the marks come from as I know I have applied wrong IFRS/IAS standard in few answer T.T. And the PL conso were weird.

April 18, 2022 at 7:48 am #653688Hello can you give me tips
April 18, 2022 at 8:08 am #653693Thank you OT, passed my SBR today ! To all those who failed, keep on going, you can do it.
Tip: in the exam if you don’t know something move onto the ones you do know and come back when you’re done with those. You’re more likely to score better marks this way. I missed some questions but still managed to pass.
Application to the scenario is also key to the professional exams.
Let’s keep on going guys, best of luck everybody.
April 18, 2022 at 8:30 am #653700To all if you who passed SBR, how long did it take to prepare for this exam? Wondering if i have enough time until June and whether should do questions mainly or learn the rules etc (doing the course at the moment but haven’t really studied)
Any tips would be appreciated.April 18, 2022 at 12:35 pm #653768szorsi wrote:To all if you who passed SBR, how long did it take to prepare for this exam? Any tips would be appreciated.I started tuition at the beginning of Jan and sat the exam at beginning of March, so 2 months.
Honestly, volume wise this is a huge syllabus. Lots of intricate things to remember for each standard and you won’t pass by only covering certain topics – everything needs to be covered as it can all come up. I would say 6 weeks is not enough time personally, but take a look at the syllabus and see how you feel and go for it if you feel ok with it
April 18, 2022 at 12:54 pm #653774I passed on my 5th attempt. Very happy to pass with 57%. The funny thing was that, on the other 5 attempts I have 49%, 48%, 49% and 49%
April 18, 2022 at 1:51 pm #653785Approximately how many hours per day on average did you study for? Over the two months? I’m working side by side, so i want to gauge if I’ll have enough time for preparation

8 hours a day every Sat and Sun and around 3-4 every Tues-Thurs evening. Gave myself Monday and Friday off. I also had Kaplan tuition paid for me by my employer, aswell as all the books and QB day with exam questions.
This meant I did every question in the Kaplan exam bank
I also work full time Mon-Fri
