the sad truth is that if you can access both the first and second link, the chances are that you definitely have passed. if you cannot go through with the links, the chances are that you MAY still have passed. Over the years, I have not seen anyone who have been able to access the links and failed. but we have seen those who were unable to go through the link but still passed. if you successfully accessed the two links, its a positive sign. In all the time of my being a finalist, I have not been able to access the grey white link. but today i can access it and the ebusiness link also showed me the tick box stuff. as for the S or M, mine is S but am sure that should be as a result of completing other stuffs like ethics, PER etc. I wish us all the very best. its not been easy coming the all these way expecially with p5.
its still possible that upload of results comes in bits. so lets be hopeful that between now and sunday, upload is still ongoin and others may be able to check in soon as well. but ofcourse the result day is the must sure bet. goodluck

I followed every line of December 17 countdown and there was no M v S theory. The last day I checked on ebusiness page, membership type was S and its now showing as M. However, the line in which the membership details appear on ebusiness page keeps changing. This is how it appears on line 178 “<INPUT TYPE=”HIDDEN” NAME=”p_membertype” VALUE=”M”>”. I think the M v S theory is correct. I also got the tick box issue. When I logged to this page: https://portal.accaglobal.com/portal/page/portal/ACCA_PORTAL_PAGES/ACCA_STUDENTS which someone said its only for members, I managed to log and the page is grey and white and I have never seen that before when I log to myacca. I just hope I passed despite not finishing the P2 exam and finding the options questions strange. I have not yet done my PER and expecting to work on that if I pass.

@ematete2005 , @rhyscallely is right; if you had read through the past threads properly you would see “S vs M” is not new. But I don’t think he meant “lie”, maybe he meant you should not be so careless with the facts and misinform forumers. @tj200 also pointed out “S” would result in a different webpage appearence to “M”, so probably not necessary to go to the extent of checking the source codes.

I am not a finalist, but trying to understand if I passed my F paper. Tried to log in portal.accaglobal.com and get the error “You do not have permission to perform this operation (WWC-41415)” – does anyone know if that’s a good or bad sign?

@ematete2005 , then I apologise, but, certainly there was someone who kept insisting this is a new theory without first checking the facts; annoying but no big deal so I won’t call him out.

just to elaborate my understanding is these theories are only based on people that have 1 exam left to become affiliates not for peeps that have more than 1 exam left.
if you have taken 2 exams in the same session these theories will not work only works if you have one exam left in the sitting!
what paper did you do?
what happens when you log on the portal page not the e business page?
on the e business page does it have the tick box?
I took what should be my final 2 exams this sitting and I can access the first page and my second page has the tick box and the ‘M’ in the source code.
I am still unsure if this stuff really is true as it does seem unlikely that a massive organisation would let things slip
The first time I read students saying the link theory worked or didn’t work I thought its a method of study or its something which makes studying easier or its a model like Change Kaleidoscope (I miss P3) only to realize that its something used by finalists who want to know whether they passed or not before the release of results.
