Wow i logged into e-business and i see the tick box for the finalists list and the S has changed to an M. I really hope ACCA aren’t trolling us and have set all finalists to this so nobody get a hint whether they had passed or not.
I took P7 for the 3rd time and was pretty certain i’d failed so this is a pretty big shock.
Do any finalists not see the tick box when they log into the e-business page?
Log in to the ebusiness website by using your ACCA number and password. Then click on ‘Change Password’ and instead of changing your password, right click on any blank area of the website and click on ‘View Page Source’. IT will give you a lot of coding, etc. Click control+F and write ‘member’. This will take you to the section of the info regarding member. Check if it is S or M.

I received email to prepare for June exams.
But I don’t think that means anything at all!I don’t believe they would go that far….at least I hope not!! I also had access to another website though, and this area is only available to members… Honestly I dont know what to say 🙂 🙂
I can’t see any of the things above on the ebusiness site or black and white background on first link.
I am a finalist but I haven’t had my PER’s signed off yet. I doubt any of these theories are real though…Don’t think ACCA would be so sloppy in this day and age
I have all my PERs signed off. Just waiting for a pass and then I can apply for membership. Maybe the M is for those who are membership ready…doesn’t mean those with S have failed!
I think ACCA is smarter than us.

The M doesn’t necessarily mean that you are a member and not affiliate. Friends of mine who are Affiliates are still marked as M.
I also have not yet submitted my PER

I love a good theory. But it is just that, a theory. We will only know for sure on Monday. I wish you the best of luck for monday.
For my last two attempts at my final paper the page didn’t change. I feel like, the tick box is a good sign but we don’t know what ACCA have/are doing behind the scenes. They will know about this theory and may have already fixed it some how.
I really wish they would get rid of all these bugs/potential hints cause i think it makes people worry for longer. I am now nervous about my results but previously i would only get nervous on the day they were released.

Cod I was following closely the Dec 2017 results discussion and some people had errors with the link theory but did pass their exams when results were out.The one that’s intriguing to me is the e-business ‘S’ vs ‘M’
Is this a new theory or is it one of the previous theories?Do you know how long it takes for ACCA to upload the results. I still getting the errors when I follow the link and I’m starting to panic.

Did you try the second link which is the e-business one?
Click it, login, click on change password, then instead of changing password, right click on any blank area and then select view page source.

See what is next to member type if it’s ‘M’ or ‘S’

The ‘S’ vs ‘M’ is a new theory but it is probably linked with the tick box on the first page. The webpage will load differently when the membership type says ‘M’ to when it says ‘S’
The link theory is a weird one and it was always hit and miss from what i remember. The more solid one is the e-business tick box. Previously if you’ve seen the tick box you have passed and if you couldn’t see it you hadn’t passed. But i want to emphasise that this may not be the case this sitting ACCA may have changed things.The tick boxes could all dissapear or some that aren’t showing now will show later on. It seems pretty early in the day for results to be uploaded to be honest.
For the e-business link, click forgot passcode to generate a new passcode so that you can use it to login.
That is what I did to access e-business.
Then follow the steps above to see if member type is ‘M’ or ‘S’Interesting.
Like someone else said, I would doubt ACCA will be so sloppy!
I just wished they didn’t take 5 weeks to release results. It’s such a long wait for everyone and causes some kind of anxiety!
Nonetheless, I hope the e-business ‘M’ vs ‘S’ theory is correct!so this will be 2nd time ive failed P7 then….god knows why I chose this module tbf so my own fault lol

Going off what has previously happened in the last few sittings i am pleased that I can see the tick box but i was certain that i had failed this exam so it is a bit strange.
What is new is the link theory takes you to an ACCA page that resembles the usual student area where you book exams. It used to just show a grey screen i believe (link theory has very hit and miss though so should not be relied upon).
