when writing the formal management latter we can assume any address, as the question does not give address of the company under audit !! wright.
December 4, 2021 at 3:42 pm #642506You would only give the covering letter if specifically asked for – and for just 2 marks it would be more important to write, formally, Dear Sirs/Yours faithfully with subject heading “Audit of X Co for the year ended”. A statement of what is attached and a caveat e.g. that if the auditor had performed more extensive procedures on internal control, the auditor might have identified more deficiencies to be reported.
So it’s enough to write:
ABC & Co (where ABC is the audit firm’s name as given in the scenario)
[Address]And not waste time making something up for which there will be no more marks to be had.
