when writing the formal management latter we can assume any address, as the question does not give address of the company under audit !! wright.
You would only give the covering letter if specifically asked for – and for just 2 marks it would be more important to write, formally, Dear Sirs/Yours faithfully with subject heading “Audit of X Co for the year ended”. A statement of what is attached and a caveat e.g. that if the auditor had performed more extensive procedures on internal control, the auditor might have identified more deficiencies to be reported.
So it’s enough to write:
ABC & Co (where ABC is the audit firm’s name as given in the scenario)
[Address]
And not waste time making something up for which there will be no more marks to be had.
understood.
Thank u very much Kim
You’re very welcome! And all the best for tomorrow’s exam!
