Sir in this question part a the contingent consideration of the business combination has been treated as part of a compensation arrangement. So if in a consolidation question we get a similar consideration scenario where one part is to be treated as part of compensation do we exclude this consideration from goodwill calculation?
I am confused because this contingent amt will obv be charged to p and l and so not be included in the amt for investment in sub in separate financial statements of the parent.
Why would you do it differently if it was to appear in a different style of question?
