When doing consolidation, will we lose marks if we write the answers in journal entry format linking them to the t accounts?Hi,
You can do your answers in an way that you wish, however I’d not recommend using either a T-account or journal entry when answering the consolidation question unless it specifically helps you understand what you are doing in your answer.
The model answers only have explanations and journal entries to help you understand what has been done in the answers, not because it is expected in your answer.
