i’ve come across these following terms: ” reorder quantity” and ” order quantity” so what is the difference between them, sir? and they said that EBQ is used to establish optimal order quantity, why it is not reorder quantity?
July 1, 2020 at 9:43 am #575604I do not know where you are reading these terms.
Reorder quantity and order quantity are the same thing – the quantity for which an order is placed.
Reorder level is however something different. It is the level in inventory at which time we place a new order.
Do watch my free lectures on this. The lectures are a complete free course for Paper MA and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
July 1, 2020 at 4:06 pm #575690dear sir, they are in bpp kit . The question is what is the EBQ used to establish and there are 4 options:
reorder quantity
order quantity
reorder level
inventory level for production
=> the answer is order quantity but i dont know why it is not reorder quantityJuly 2, 2020 at 9:24 am #575713As I wrote before, reorder quantity and order quantity really mean the same thing, so it is a bit of a silly question from BPP.
