i’ve come across these following terms: ” reorder quantity” and ” order quantity” so what is the difference between them, sir? and they said that EBQ is used to establish optimal order quantity, why it is not reorder quantity?
I do not know where you are reading these terms.
Reorder quantity and order quantity are the same thing – the quantity for which an order is placed.
Reorder level is however something different. It is the level in inventory at which time we place a new order.
Do watch my free lectures on this. The lectures are a complete free course for Paper MA and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
dear sir, they are in bpp kit . The question is what is the EBQ used to establish and there are 4 options:
reorder quantity
order quantity
reorder level
inventory level for production
=> the answer is order quantity but i dont know why it is not reorder quantity
As I wrote before, reorder quantity and order quantity really mean the same thing, so it is a bit of a silly question from BPP.
