Hi
Are the UK and international variant papers the same for F7?
I am planning to take the f7 UK paper in June 2014, can I use opentuition f7 materials?
January 2, 2014 at 7:32 pm #153676Here’s a thought – why not compare December 2013 for both variants and see if you can find the differences? They are 95% the same (I believe) but you can confirm that for yourself
January 2, 2014 at 9:09 pm #153683Personally I would do the Int version. The UK version is the same syllabus/exam except that up to 10 of the 100 marks can be taken from the extra UK syllabus. I didn’t find that the BPP or Kaplan books catered very well for the extra UK bit (BPP were exceptionally bad and I’m normally a die hard BPP fan). The vast majority of students in my exam hall in June 13 were sitting the Int version.
Ultimately, the UK syllabus is 10% larger but you get no extra credit for doing it so you may as well just do the Int version.

January 4, 2014 at 6:07 pm #153787Celticking, is that right? The ACCA are withdrawing the uk choices?
January 6, 2014 at 3:41 pm #153850Yip, they are withdrawing the UK Variants of both Audit & Assurance and Financial Reporting.
January 7, 2014 at 7:14 pm #153878And about time too! The time that it has taken to reach that decision is quite extraordinary. It reminds me of that famous headline from a British newspaper “Fog in Channel. Continent isolated”
