Can you help me with the scenerio? if I asked the question directly so I will not be able to communicate query properly. Thank you.
Mr. Jeff got insider information and he gave tip to Jason to buy shares but he did not told about the insider information. Jason continued the chain and told Ahmed about the tip.
Will Jason and Ahmed will be guilty? According to my knowledge Ahmed will not be guilty but I am confused about Jason because he shared the tip he got but he was not aware of insider information.
    Thank you once again.

My initial reaction is that Jason would not be guilty (nor would Ahmed). But that reply is on the understanding that Jason had NO idea that Mr Jeff was an insider. If Jason had the slightest suspicion that Mr Jeff had acquired the knowledge from his position of being an insider, then Jason COULD be possible found guilty.

And, of course, Mr Jeff himself is guilty as an insider passing on unpublished price sensitive information with the expectation that the recipient would act on that information.

    OK?
