Okay so we have a week to go.
I would like to think I am fine with groups. And I will work even more on them now.
My concern is the question 2 and 3.
What do I need to do to pass those? Is it just pass paper practice?
I’m pretty sure the time for watching lectures on those is past right? So now I have to learn from the questions I do.Just. Can you please give me any tips on how to do the Qn 2 and 3?
Or just other general advice on how do I prepare for this. Like how do I remember all of these standards together?
August 29, 2017 at 8:39 pm #404155Hi,
My advice would be to stop working on group accounts as there is more to the exam than just this one question.
You need to have looked at the revision video that I have uploaded and it will explain what you need to do to pass the other questions.
The key is to remember the basics of all the standards, don’t get too consumed by the detail as otherwise this will trip you up. Keep working through the past exam papers and try to ensure that you get to understand the flavour of the answer, don’t think about trying to reproduce what the examiner has done in their model answer as that is impossible to do.
Above all else, stop stressing out and try to remain calm. Your questions on the forum demonstrate that you’ve being working hard and understand the essentials that you need to pass this exam. I think you’ll do much better than you think.
Thanks
August 30, 2017 at 9:33 am #404301Thanks for the vote of confidence. It’s just that my main strength is in analyses and not in application or remembering rules. That’s so evident when you look at my marks too. In F6 and F7 I scored my lowest of 63 and 64 while in the subject with the lowest pass rate of all the F papers, F5, I scored an 80.
But yeah I’ll be sure to watch your lectures more to help push myself through this one.
Thanks
August 31, 2017 at 11:30 am #404624If you get 63 or 64 in P2 then that would be outstanding, so don’t stress. Try not to just watch the lectures now, you must be bored of listening to me. Focus on answering the past exam papers as this will be much more beneficial.
Thanks
