Hi tax tutor, just to clarify for illustration 10 re the above, I thought that the Dec 14 gifts of 200 each to two friends as a Christmas gift would not be exempt since the aggregate is 400 and over the 250 threshold. Can you clarify in this case that the 250 threshold relates to each donee only? IE if I give gifts of 250 to two friends the aggregate being 500 this is ok? Thanks!
