    Does issue of bonus share fall within the scope of ifrs 9

    If it fall within ifrs 9 can you explain me how and its treatment?

    Hi,

    A bonus issue of shares will just CR Share capital and DR Share premium, with the issue being at the par value of the shares.

    It would fall under IFRS 9 as the issuing entity would have equity in its books and the other entity an investment in shares.
