    Hello dear tutor

I hope that you are well…

    Q1)initial recognition:
is it correct to say we must recognise(initially at cost) exploration and evaluation costs before technical feasibility and commercial viability as asset in a seperate line in SOFP(eg like AHFS in a seperate line from PPE and Intangible asset)?and does this cost include P.V of any future obligation?

Q2)for subsequent measurement we can use F.V model or cost model and we must check impairment indications annually…
    Is it correct?

Q3)as they are not ready for use, should we depreciate(or amortise) these costs?

Q4)is it correct to say we must reclassify the above amount(from that seperate line) to PPE or Intangible asset and test for impairment if technical feasiblity and commercial viability demonstrated?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi,

I’m well thanks but very confused as to why your asking such detailed questions on a standard that is not even on the P2 syllabus.

Given it’s a non-examinable standard then I won’t be taking the time to answer your above questions. This forum is only for anything P2 related.

    Thanks

    Thank you…

This is not in P2 syllabus…

And as I suggest you in ias 2 inventories(previous topic) you can delete it if you feel it is necessary

Many thanks again for your helps…
