Hi, I just watched the lecture on Chapter 8 IFRS 5 and I understood everything properly up until example 3. In that example, it was said that the company decided to discontinue the operation on 30 March 2017 but instead of adjusting only the 2017 figures, the 2016 figures were also adjusted. My question is why do we adjust the previous year’s figures if the decision to discontinue the operation was taken in the current year.
It is to make it more comparable to the current year.
Thanks
