Dear tutor,
We derecognise the asset when there is a finance lease in the lessor’s accounts, but don’t recognise it in the lessee’s accounts as there is only one way of accounting (we recognise right-of-use-asset here). Does in mean that in this case the asset itself is recognised nowhere?
thank you in advance
dima
Hi,
If the lessee is recognising the asset as a right of use asset, then surely it is being recognised somewhere.
Thanks
