A performance obligation can be satisfied at a point in time or overtime and takes place when ‘control’ of the promised good or service is transferred to the customer. If a car dealer sells a car under a hire purchase arrangement, physical possession of the car is transferred but not legal title. Is this performance obligation satisfied sir?
Hi,
Yes, under the HP agreement control is transferred to the user of the car.
Thanks
