Hello Chris,
I hope you are doing good today.
I have failed the FR exam twice at 49% in march and june 2019 attempt. I had prepared both of my attempts using open tuition, your lecture and class notes along with kaplan text book and exam kit. Please guide me to pass it this time and i hope the last time in September 2019.
I will be looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks & RegardsJuly 21, 2019 at 8:29 pm #524504Hi,
Sorry to hear that you’ve got so close to passing the exam in each of the last two sittings. It sounds like you are doing the right things, but have you been practising using the online exam tools available? Have you been answering the questions during revision to time and under exam conditions?
If you haven’t done either of these then this will make a huge difference to your mark.
Thanks
July 22, 2019 at 8:57 am #524550Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have done a section C questions while preparing for my exam usung spreedsheet but each time i sat in the exam, i was unable to complete my section C one question worth 20 marks. Even in the second attempt! I tried to speed up but I don’t know how to do it to a level that is required.
Chris, this is the third time i am appearing in the September exam. Please guide me to clear it this time.
And also guide me if i have to do your lectures along with the study text again or just the exam kit to revise.
I will be looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks & regards.
July 23, 2019 at 2:45 pm #524712Hi,
Using a spreadsheet is a good start but try to use the materials that are available on the ACCA website so you are replicating what exactly to expect in the exam.
If I were you then I’d just focus on working questions, under exam conditions. Don’t spend time going through the notes/videos again, if you are unsure of a particular topic once you answer the questions and find you’re struggling then go back to the notes to brush up on that particular piece of knowledge. At this point question practice is the key to success. Work on those MCQs as they will really ensure that you have the technical knowledge.
Thanks

As the exams are getting closer, I was just interested to hear how you are getting on. Have you been able to improve your technique?
