Dear sir,
I’m planning to sit for P2 in June ’17 session. I’m a working mom and would be able to allocate only about 12 hours per week. Also I’ve been exempted from the F papers. Kindly advise whether my time allocation would allow me to complete studying for June exam? And can you also give me a study plan if possible please?March 9, 2017 at 2:03 pm #377079Hi,
I believe that you have the time to sit the exam in June but that will depend on your retained knowledge from your previous studies. A lot of the P2 exam relies on your knowledge of groups and several accounting standards. If you follow the notes and lectures then they not only cover the P2 material but also cover the P2 material too, so you have enough resources available to get you through the subject.
With regards to a study plan, I can’t give you anything specific as it all depends on how much time you can dedicate to studying given your circumstances at home, but a few hours a night would give you a good chance of success.
I’d recommend that you start by working through the chapters in the order that they appear in the class notes and if you get stuck then you now where we are to help you out.
I hope the studying goes well.
Thanks
March 10, 2017 at 9:28 am #377338Thanks for your information sir.
Apprroximately 2 hours a day and only 6 days per week will be available for my studies. I will go in order of the chapters hoping for the best.
Thanks againMarch 12, 2017 at 8:19 am #377872That sounds like you should have sufficient time to cover all aspects of the syllabus.
Good luck!

March 15, 2017 at 3:07 pm #378355Hi,
I am planning to take P2 exam in June, is it necessary to go through notes and lectures of F7 exam before I start with P2, since I passed F7 long time ago?
Thank you.

No, you will find that the F7 knowledge required is covered during the lectures.
Thanks
