    Hi,

I am a CIMA student, passed my MCS in August. Now preparing for E3, I have gone through all the study text, but still forgetting things as I am not always good with theory. Can you please guide me and give me some tips on like how to carry out the revision process and also some tips on how to pass this exam. I am coming from management gateway route, so this will be my first OT. I have attempted few practice test but not getting good score in that. Will highly appreciate your help and guidance. Thanks!

I’m afraid there are few shortcuts as the theories and models have to be learmed then applied in some questions.

You say you have gone through the study text. I don’t know of this means our notes or a text from BPP or Kaplan. If the latter, I suggest you use our notes and listen our lectures. These pare down the subject to its most important elements whereas the full texts can overwhelm with detail.

You also need to buy a revision kit/practice question book from Kaplan or BPP. When you try questions, do not mark the book with your chosen answers. Put your answers on a separate piece of paper so the book is kept fresh. If you get the question right (and it is not just a guess), tick the question as you don’t need to keep trying it. As you go through the questions again and again more and more should be ticked….until all are. This lets you concentrate on what you don’t know instead of what yiu do know.
