Hi Sir
I think I may have made (I am pretty sure) the painstaking mistake of not actually producing the goodwill calculation in the latest SBR exam. I calculated all of the component figures and explained all the required adjustments (of course I accept that I may have made errors) and I gave the sum of the increase in GW following the adjustments required, but for some very odd reason, I did not actually calculate goodwill, nor did I even provide the template of the pro-forma (though I did explain the entire calculative process, discurssively).
How heavily does somebody get penalised for such an error? I think the question was out of 5 marks.
September 9, 2018 at 8:57 pm #472464Hi,
Provided you have calculated the component parts then you will score some credit and hopefully enough to pass this part of the question.
I’d not worry too much overall though as it makes up a small part of the exam.
Thanks

Thanks again,
