im having trouble understanding how to calculate the NCI and the parents investment in the subsidiary as well as the share premium.
the question says the consideration for the shares in S was 1.60 cash per share and 1 share in P for every share in S. At the time of Acquisition shares in P were trading at 1.40 per share and those in S at 3.20 per share.
How to calculate this?
There’s a worked example in the free course notes on this site (chapter 8 I think)
