    Hi John,

Have you covered the financing of M&A deals such as cash, cash & shares, shares anywhere previously and its impact on the newly combined company’s capital structure? Warmly,

No, because they are topics from the financial accounting syllabus – they are asked in Paper AFM, but partly it is because in all of the advanced papers questions can be asked from any of the advanced syllabuses.

If you have any problems with any past exam questions on this then ask and I will explain 🙂

The juicy part is in the combined company valuation. It would be awesome to have your lecture on the methods of the value of the combined company. At the moment, I am still trying to untangle how each method works and how I can distinguish what method to use in the exam based on the provided information.

There are lectures on all of the techniques that are needed. Which techniques to use depends on the information given and the requirements of the question and it is really a question of practicing all of the relevant questions in your Revision Kit (and asking in this forum about anything that is not clear).
