Financial instrument chapter is pretty difficult to understand.. And also examples regarding this as well. Do I really have to know the details of this topic? Knowing all the words like fvtoci fvtpl and what can be amortised cost blabla...? As there is no lecture regarding this topic, I have searched couple of alternatives but all give me headaches ;'( any advices please..

It's not an area that is extensively examined but it would be good if you could remember at least some of the blabla
