For ques 1, when it cd annual cost? Was it annual total cost or anual purchase cost?

I struggled with the foreign exchange question (3) and the buy/lease was a disaster (5). On the MCQ – I can remember my first nine answers: B, C, A, C, D, D, A, D, D (if that helps anyone).
Found it quite tough… for question 5, what discount rate did you guys use? 8% or 6%. Was it better to buy or lease the machine… or have I missed the point….

Was a total disaster this paper..acca is now making money on people head because it is not possible that no question on wacc has been tested in the last two sittings and there have not been a proper question on npv in this sitting..This was my third attempt and I am sure am gonna fail again

I had a nightmare. MCQ were difficult, Q1 and Q5 went ok. The rest was such a struggle. Need a miracle to pass.
Anyone else think there was a lot of theory compared to number work?
I thought there was a lot of theory – I hardly used the calculator at all. I believe F5 was also the same. I thought the FX question was difficult. Can’t believe no WACC as I had studied this to death convinced it would come up. What a let down.
Disaster! MCQ not too bad, but all the main questions, I struggled with the interpretation of the questions then had a melt down. Not happy as I had to drive 400 miles round trip to nearest exam centre and a hotel … Headless to say I am gutted.

The mcqs were tricky as usual..
The questions had lots and lots of theory..
Qu 5. lease or buy i didnt see the discounting rate? did u guys use the 8% ? but its the loan interest not discounting rate..Qu 2. Its the first time i see that : what does it even mean : valuation on assets,profits or cashflow??
Qu 1. seems EOQ was ok. The company had less costs if it took the discount.. Did u guys got the same?
Qu 4. i dont know how i did.. I think i wrote a lot of nonsense.. hopefully some points are ok it in..
Qu 3. Foreign exchange was tricky..
Overall i need lots of luck to pass it..It was my third attempt and i think i will have to attempt it a fourth time

6% was to be used and I go with the option of leasing the assets as it was more cheaper than buying the asset

I think ACCA main concern is to rake in the money at great costs to the students by introducing 4 exam per year. This Tottenham venue was absolutely inappropriate for exam purposes, very bad lighting system and congested place layout in the room, seems like they have a shortage of places and trying to accommodate the refugees. I literally felt sick! The exam paper was ridiculously and annoyingly complex. the twists and turns were just unbelievable!!!!
Who got what for the SME way of raising finance ? I got business angel, factoring and was bank/ or loan? This is the MCQ question.

Couldn’t agree with you more. How can they expect us to do MCQ’s which do require a fair bit of working and then answer 5 long questions aswell. How is it possible to answer all 5 questions in full and then MCQ’s on top within 3 hours. They need cut down section B into 4 questions. I dont mind answering difficult questions, but atleast give us the time to think and figure things out. At the moment its a bit of a lottery, if the topic you are good at comes up then you can quickly work out the answer otherwise you are screwed because there is no time to think!!!
