This F8 paper was ok to me. And I sort of predicted audit of payroll/wages would appear as this new examiner has not set any audit qn on this yet. So overall was abit lengthy but yet not too tricky for most parts.

Quite a nice and easy paper! No unexpected and tricky bits , only substantive testing , no even test of controls! 🙂 First time i felt that it’s bad to know too much 😀

    Thanks alot to opentuition! 🙂

Open Tuition tips did help a bit… Thanks .. Now F9 to struggle with ..

    Q1:

(ii) Payroll charge – Substantive procedure
    b) Auditors & managements towards law and regulation compliance
    c) Provision – Substantive procedure
    d) Reliance on internal Audit by external Audit

    Q2)
    (i) Elements of Internal Control system
    (ii) Elements of unmodified report

    Q3)
    (i) The components of audit risks with example
(ii) Identify audit risks in the scenario & Auditor’s response towards them

    Q4)

(ii) Weakness in scenario’s corporate governance and recommendation

    Q5)

(ii) Receivables / Law suit / Warehouse – if FS to be amended, audit procedures to overcome the amendment, effect on report if no action taken..

It’s all i could remember after 2 hrs after the paper … i remember the questions more than what to answer.. LOL

As with all the exams again a lengthy paper subdivided into a lot of small questions. Not very difficult but a lot to digest and write about…. Explain and describe in most of them. There wasn’t any straightforward “List” questions????
    Hope for the best.

Hi, paper was lengthy but less tricky, just one thing in Q5 Contingent Liability, I managed to complete it though but it will depend on the quality of answers, my guess to score is 70 but lets see, I think pass rate will be lower from last time (40%)…

Yes you are correct – I think that was Q3 to explain Obligatory and Voluntary Disclosures of information.
