acca mcqs ansrs plz???
December 10, 2014 at 12:40 pm #219973Section B was okay but A was tricky.
December 10, 2014 at 1:06 pm #219980what points did people hit on the interpretation question? I was confused by that one
December 10, 2014 at 2:23 pm #219999MCQs were so tricky
As for Section B
Question 1 on interpretation was the hardest of all that I even failed to finish it coz I was not sure of what I was writing.Q2 and Q3 seemed fair though the financial statements failed to balance.
But I hope the workings will play the magicThe pressure was on time coz Section B numbers seemed lengthy.
Keeping fingers crossed that Q2 & Q3 of Section B as well as MCQs will help me score 50%.
December 10, 2014 at 3:24 pm #220011Thats what I got, impairment loss of 100k, firstly write off all of goodwill (50k) and prorate the other 50k, and 40k was the proportion reducing the 200k for, (was it PPE?), to get 160k
December 10, 2014 at 4:29 pm #220028I think ACCA has given too much importance to Mcq’s by making them 40% of total marks. You can easily have nothing on that .
December 11, 2014 at 12:30 am #220111So I did something really stupid. I marked Part B Q3 the wrong way around.
I marked the CSOCI as (b) and the CSOFP as (a)
Will this matter? Will the examiner look past this and mark both sections or be cruel and leave them out?

I hope ACCA team would consider that. And I’m sure if you’ve got the correct answer, they would understand it to give you corresponding marks.
