Section B was okay but A was tricky.

    MCQs were so tricky
    As for Section B
Question 1 on interpretation was the hardest of all that I even failed to finish it coz I was not sure of what I was writing.

Q2 and Q3 seemed fair though the financial statements failed to balance.
But I hope the workings will play the magic

The pressure was on time coz Section B numbers seemed lengthy.

Keeping fingers crossed that Q2 & Q3 of Section B as well as MCQs will help me score 50%.

Thats what I got, impairment loss of 100k, firstly write off all of goodwill (50k) and prorate the other 50k, and 40k was the proportion reducing the 200k for, (was it PPE?), to get 160k

I think ACCA has given too much importance to Mcq’s by making them 40% of total marks. You can easily have nothing on that .

So I did something really stupid. I marked Part B Q3 the wrong way around.

I marked the CSOCI as (b) and the CSOFP as (a)

Will this matter? Will the examiner look past this and mark both sections or be cruel and leave them out?

I hope ACCA team would consider that. And I’m sure if you’ve got the correct answer, they would understand it to give you corresponding marks.

Hope so! Totally silly thing to do, but as all the workings are there the examiner would have to be a sadist not to look at them lol

The exam is very easy indeed easier than i thought

The problem is about the time ( it is not enough at all) I left Q3 with 15 marks witch is easy but the time is not enough

I still I am not sure to pass the paper because of th time

Could any one from Opentuition help us(students) regarding the time of exam

    Thanks
