Same here I got 18000 but rounded it to 20000 because it said that we need to round it to the nearest 10,000

What did you get in Q4 ” incremental profit/loss per component”? The spare cap made me confused.

I am no expert and open to correction but in the abc question they used cost as a mark up , yet both services were priced at $110 which would leave you to believe they two services costed the same with absorption costing!! However when you worked out the cost using abc they did not cost the same , one was 70 something and the other 80 something!! I think the key here was that the same supplier had to provide bother services to the hospital by law!! So as customers were complaining hazardous waste was too expensive it should implement abc so keep customers happy because if they lost customers due to the high cost of hazardous waste they lost them for the other service IW also!! This was the only question I faired well on I think!!! As I said I’m open to correction !!!

Rolling Budget (D) $2,181,000 …………Remember a rolling budget is always for 12 mths (4 Quarters)…….Therefore quarter 1 had to be omitted since it the time has already passed and a new quarter had to be calculated ………..i saw a similar question somewhere last week

Target cost ….. Cost had to decrease by 30 % inorder to maintain the gross profit margin of 30%. consider this:

    current S.P =150 ….Cost = 120 (25% mark up) = profit 30 ………
    revised S.P = 120…..Cost = 84 ……..= profit 36

    Hence to maintain Margin of 30% = P/S.P =36/120 = 30
    % decrease = 36/120 *100 = 30%

I basically played around with figures in the exam

Learning rate ……..120/150 = 80% ……i’m not confident with this

    BEP = I guessed A = 24,000

In the ABC question, sorry not to agree but even if the two prices were the same at 110 and the company used a mark up to get that price for both, this does not mean that the costs were the same as well.
The mark up is a percentage on cost and obviously both costs and the mark up percentages for the two could have been different resulting in the same price.

    100 cost + 10% mark up is 110
    90 cost + 22.23% mark up is 110

I feel the same as a few people on here I felt so well prepared. This was my third attempt and after studying the last three months, for my third attempt at it, I really felt I had covered the whole syllabus this time! The mcqs were very difficult must of guessed at least half. The bigger questions I have never seen anything similar in the past papers I have done over and over. The only friendly familiar one was the abc question I thought. Left feeling very frustrated. Grr!

I just take 37 to buy minus 20 save from not producing to get 17. I’m not sure so still wonder

Maybe so!! I read the question that the same cost mark up was applied to both services so I presumed both cost the same when the same mark up was added!! As I said open to correction it’s good to hear what others thought!!

Q5 I chose school 3 to be close
Can anyone tell me if I get all calculations wrong but my final recommendation I.e school 3 to be closed is right . Do I get any marks?

I sure I failed, came in the exam quite confident.
    Q1 did perfect on that
Q2 would have some well if I had used the standard contribution instead of price
    Q3 very easy,
Q4 hard, news to make transfer pricing priority next time
Q5 am not sure but I close down 1 because the relevant cost of loss income lead and 2 other cost gace me a negative . I avoided the costs that weren’t avoidable and the sink ones.
MTCQ the last ones were a bit too detail and needed too much calculation

For q3 BEP chart I think my answer was 300 BEP units and profit was 20000?

Q3 ABC I suggest transfer price between 23 (after adjusting fixed cost as well) to 37 for company goal. And 120000 units as I guess division M needed that . Off course division L has enough capacity to sell externally and internally

It seems as if I misinterpreted that cause the last time I check the 110 was a price and not cost. To find obsorption per unit I divided the total production cost given by total units of both products.

one of my answers to MCQ questions:

    1) BAC
    2) 37.8%
    3) Learning curve 75%
    4) Units required to breakeven 24000 extra

For ROI calculation I did following:

    Profit / (Assets @ Cost – Depreciation + Inventory)

I chose retail industry for cost + costing

can’t think about other MCQs at this moment.
