The question really threw as I started to think there was no residual income. I went for c or d I think. I couldn’t decide which as one answer had me not reducing the depreciation and one calculator did
does anynone have experience about the marking system? If I incorrectly calculated the Revised hour for the variances, but I correctly use the formulates, Can I get some marks?
I think the first mcq was after dep.. atleast thats what the kaplan study text says.
but the question said that “before take depreciation”..or not? and I think the ROI was the question, not RI, but I1m not sure
I thought it was very difficult, especially the question on transfer pricing. My tuition provider only scratched the surface on this topic so I didn’t even attempt it. I thought some of the questions in Part A were pretty awful, too. I couldn’t even work out what part of the syllabus Q1 was about!
What did you put for the minimax answer? I think I went with the fourth product D as that had the biggest profit from the smallest demand
in :fruit question I think that all was relevant except “cost of growing fruit”
i did the same too, i found my variable overheads as $3per unit and then i added that to the variable material and labour cost per unit and that gave me the marginal cost of $21 and $800k for fixed costs

Can I get some marks if I calculated wrong revised hour but I correctly used the planning and operational formulas?

The RI question – you had to deduct depreciation because it’s based on profit.
The ACCA is NOT going to publish either the questions or the answers for Section A apparently so we’ll never know!

how do you know this?John Moffat mentioned it on another thread on the Ask the Tutor Forum. Not sure of the reason – apparently they don’t publish them for F1-F3 which have had MCQs for a while.
