    Dear Sir,

I was failed in F5 exam in both of previous settings and got 45 marks each time.
I watched all opentuition video lectures and practiced a lot but that did not work.

now I am entered for March 2016 F5 again. if you kindly suggest me how can I improve my exam techniques and any other recommendations please.

    Thanks from your time.

All I can suggest is the following:

Do you have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers (if not then you must buy one) and practice every question? Especially attempting the MCQ’s under time pressure, and studying the answers to the written parts of section B.

In the exam, did you make sure you answered every one of the MCQ’s (even if you had to guess some of them)? (Out of 4 questions guessed you are likely to get at least 1 right and that is an extra 2 marks).

In Section B, did you attempt every part of every question? Attempting does not mean finishing, but doing anything, however little, is likely to get at least one mark.

In the calculation parts of Section B did you make sure that your workings were neat and that it was therefore clear to the marker what you were trying to do? The marks in Section B are for the workings and not for the final answer.

In the written parts of Section B, did you leave a blank line between each point that you were making (it helps make sure that the market does not miss any valid points), and is your writing easy for the marker to read? (You will think it is, but ask someone else to read your writing and see how easy or difficult they find it 🙂

I hope some of the above helps 🙂

    Hello nasseer.

you must be consistent in all what you do. suppose you planned to follow open tuition notes + lectures for a week lets say 5chaps during weekdays. make sure you attach the revision kit in weekends and practise lots of questions and revise in a timely manner. lets say make it a week after where you go through an overview of revisions of what you have been revising for the past week.

have a timetable. make acca your gf. exams are not that easy. those who passed have really climbed the mountain everest ( figurative speech).

dnt be disheartened that you have failed. lectures from john here are amazing, btw hello john, you rocked sir! 😉

naseer you ust have to be consistent with what you do. you will see results.

    thank you

    regards
