December 10, 2015 at 4:12 am #290027I trying this F5 four times
this is most difficult paper
Why F5 cannot let me easily passed?December 10, 2015 at 4:59 am #290033@rossg said:
I agree with Material A being the limiting factor.I can’t remember the detail to the rest of it, though.
December 10, 2015 at 5:12 am #290035I think this time Examiner deliberately tried a successful attempt to fail F5 students ….. it doesn’t seems like a F5 paper ……. it was a far away from past papers …. it was a disaster indeed …..
December 10, 2015 at 5:22 am #290036Regarding the ROI there is one untraceable amount to the division profit anybody know if we have to add it back to the profit…..
this exam was hardest I have ever seen.
December 10, 2015 at 5:58 am #290042This F5 exam was prepared according to prefect or ideal standard no allowance is given by F5 examiner even multiple choice questions was completely bring different style of question I working on exam kit and past paper I normally answered very will but exam multiple choice was not answerable question may be question was bring from P5 overall very disappointed pepar
December 10, 2015 at 6:35 am #290047Weird questions in part B as compared to Sep session,
Part A was ok, though too much questions requiring hard calculations (e.g. advanced variances)
Part B:
Q1-Adavnce variances (ok)
Q2-Decision making (so-so)
Q3-Budgeting (discussion)
Q4-Divisional performance measurement (ok)
Q5-Make or Buy decision with limiting factors (run out of time, odd question)In September in part B it was:
Target costing, CVP analysis, Performance measurement, Minimax regret, NFPO, Advanced Variances.More common and easier questions were in September.
Don’t know how do they think it is possible to write in 3h 15m.
Not fair.December 10, 2015 at 6:46 am #290049This was a very tough exam.
Section A was a bit fine.
Some questions in section B were hard and confusing. I never thought an F5 exam could be this hard.December 10, 2015 at 7:13 am #290053I am from South-Africa. I earn a small salary. To pay a ridiculous amount to enter for an impossible exam, is heart breaking to say the least.
I read the exam articles to get a feel for what I can expect.
I knew the content well, worked through enough past exams, to feel quite confident.I hope the exam setters are really pleased with themselves; NOT!!!
December 10, 2015 at 7:16 am #290054I agree with you Shah
December 10, 2015 at 8:25 am #290088that exam was messed up…holy crap. Thst is the hardest ACCA paper I have done, and I have completed F9 already btw.
December 10, 2015 at 9:00 am #290108Also, part A of the exam is very hard. I am saying this because I constantly did well on the Open Tuition Moc Exam MCQ 20 questions tests scoring 90% regularly.
Yet, I would battle getting 50% in section A of yesterday’s examination. From my view, it is not easy to pass F5, if you cannot at least get 10/20 for section A in Paper F5.

Looks like I misread it. The questions overall were written very poorly and deliberately confusing. ACCA ought to review the examiner in my opinion. Its not sour grapes as I think I done enough to pass but there is really no need to deliberately aim to trap students into mistakes with wording. Another poor exam from the f5 team.totally agree. how do you ask questions in parables. english is a second language for 60% of the candidates
December 10, 2015 at 9:16 am #290118Has anyone found an example for the question 2 question? I can’t find one anywhere!! I am trying not to dwell on the fact there is a 99% chance i failed this. It was my first written acca exam and I’m a bit of a skim reader. If I have failed atleast I’ve learnt NOT TO SKIM, and will hopefully pass in March without much revision needed!
December 10, 2015 at 10:08 am #290133Was there actually a limiting factor in question 5? I converted the prices into kilograms and couldnt find one when I added all the kilograms up. Then I panicked and pretended I got one by messing with my calculations and then that lead to a big mess because the contribution per kg was the same for two of two products.
December 10, 2015 at 10:10 am #290134I also put Material A as a limiting factor, but I can’t remember the detail.
December 10, 2015 at 10:14 am #290136well if majority rules with material a being limiting factor, i got one mark there atleast. Wishing my life away here. Want it to be results already!

I also got 23 to manufacture. The material was limited I got make 600 units and buy 200 as there was only 600kg spare for material a and component x needed 1kg per unit so only 600 could be made. This wasn’t like any the practice one I tried was quite confusing.you seem like the only person with the right answer .-.
December 10, 2015 at 12:50 pm #290194Hard… difficult.. going to retake again…
December 10, 2015 at 12:54 pm #290195Hi,
Anybody know how to decide the X calculation in Q 5
is it its cost which we have to multiply in qtyclarify please any how the exam was a big shock to me ….
December 10, 2015 at 1:44 pm #290212(f5)Multiple choice is unpredictable, its 50-50.Section B was just a day robbery i think ACCA want to make us poor how many time should we sit/pay for F5.The harder the paper the more we getting poor with ACCA.Lets be fair
December 10, 2015 at 2:11 pm #290217Such an uptight paper, with so many potential re-writes, i think we should suggest to ACCA to charge a discounted rate of say 50% if its a re-take,like what other courses do because paying full amount for a re-write is day light robbery, some of us just can’t afford it,especially if its a difficult paper to pass like this one.
December 10, 2015 at 2:27 pm #290225My multiple choice answers were
A
A
C
A
B
D

Did anyone else get any the same? Section B was not what I expected at all!! There was nothing on learning rate or mr/mc nothing on building blocks or scorecards. Thought yet again question are poorly written.December 10, 2015 at 2:33 pm #290227When will we receive results?
Thanks!December 10, 2015 at 2:56 pm #290237I read the comments after exams how hard ,tricky and unfair it was and one thing comes to my mind, this qualifications are not for everybody !
I passed F5 high after first attempt and I only started ACCA because I knew I was capable of doing it.
