Does it matter, doesn’t change what result you get.

I sat the exam as well but nerves got the best of me and I went BLANK! – I spent far too much time trying to figure out what on earth Ann Irons was asking! – I wonder if we are to become riddles’ experts or professional accountants (though she might think the two are interchangeable). If we are to spend time trying to figure out what we are being asked to do then reading time should be extended to 30 minutes or something like that (on this paper).

Also, it was so cold I could barely concentrate despite a few layers on!

With about 1.5 hours to go stuff started coming back to me (and after staring at the questions for at least 40 minutes I started to discover clues). Too late and I was too rushed, so I doubt very much I would even get 20% on legibility alone! – LOL

In hindsight it was not a difficult paper, and I will not blame the cold or the examiner. I just did not prepare appropriately and was not confident with what I knew and in the end I failed, but hey, it was the first time in 8 years I attempted a paper (and about to sit another one tomorrow!) so it was a good dry run.

I hope you guys did better than I did!

Yeah. You couldn’t really see anything. I guess that’s why the follow up question was on missing stuff. God, I hope at least that part gets me some points..

ya points likhey thay mai nay… ADVANTAGE .. 1. budget will be more linked with objectives since senior manage get involved. 2. more skilled budget will be created. 3. less conflicts between junior/operating management. DISADVANTAGE.. 1. senior management may not be aware of local knowledge. 2. demotivation among junior management. 3. more stress on senior management since they have to b focus on both stratigic & tactical issues. ” NOW TELL ME CAN THESE POINTS WORK IN THIS PART TO GET ME MARKS OUT OF 7 ? “

The paper was ok. Unfortunately, time-management was the issue. They relocated us to a different place to take the exam, this room was much smaller and i could not see the clock from where i was sitting, so i had to leave out parts of some questions in order to attempt all 5.

I wish i had done question 5 last instead of first.

    Not sure if i passed.

@ lwitiko, personally I find open tuition lectures straightforward and easy to comprehend. What I do is listen to the lectures, read the notes and solve as much past questions and examples I can lay my hand on (from other text materials as well). So far, its worked for me…..best wishes in 2014

It asks for the Bottom-up budgetting style.
(didn’t you read the last sentence? it means right now the managing director IMPOSE the budget, there is no participation from the senior managers (sales director and production director). So the questions ask to discuss if we involves these senior deirector in budgeting process, rather than the managing director impose the budget up on them.
=> The question ask for BOTTOM-UP style. The way you answer is TOP-DOWN style.

Guys… This is my first paper base exam. I attempted 5 questions. But I only mark on number 5 on the front paper (Because I thought Tick on the NUMBER OF QUESTIONS you attempted. And I attempted 5, so I tick only on number 5. But they say I have to tick on 1, 2, ,3, 4, 5.
So will my question 1, 2, 3, 4 be marked?:(( I’m very worried now. Help!
