    I got 1.48 and 1.1 and for hours 3333. so my output was full for large panel and 1345 something like that for small panel. Please confirm??

    Gabriel: Exactly how do you expect answers when we do not see the questions until the exam is published on the ACCA website in a few days time?!

    I had 3000 hours. 12 per day, 5 days per week, 50 weeks
    i had 1000 for small panels (guarenteed miniumum) at 600 hours and used the rest of the availble time (2400 hours) for the large panels (bottleneck 1.4 ) so 1714.29 large panels.

    1000 was minimum and so there were space of 325something…. but FULL for large panel.

    MFC but it also said that the machine utilised 90%. Hmmm

    What about learning curve?? Didn’t get the question at all.. was the requirement asking to calculate in batches for every month?? If it is then were there 8 batches ?

    Wasnt the 90 pc info more relevant to the second part of the question. Ie ways to increase production capacity by raising this percentage above 90%

    I did 200 x 16^learning curve x 16 and gave me something like 23000.00 oh and multiplied that with standard cost.

    i didn’t do too well on the variances, but pretty sure they weren’t all favourable. the standard cost per unit was $5 and they paid $5.80 against a market value of $6 – so I had adverse planning, favourable operational for this

    For the learnin curv question I got the time taken per batch for the last 2 months as something like 139odd. Then the labour cost for last month was just 8 x 139 x 12. Anyone agree?

    Oh MFC I am probably wrong then. I did get A but then ended up changing to F because revised was 6 and actual was 5.80 and standard was 5!
