On the question about group investment income to be included in the Pip group SOPL,
why dividend paid by Posy does not need to be prorated before being deducted from Parent’s investment income?

Hi,
Dividends are not accrued during the year, they are declared at a point in time and so are not pro-rated.
If we have control of the subsidiary then we will record our share of the dividend received in the individual accounts of the parent and this is then eliminated on consolidation based upon the single entity concept.
