Hi Chris,
Hope you are doing good.
So I am a student from India and going to register for ACCA. I have exemptions in 9 papers. I understand claiming or not claiming exemptions is entirely my choice. If I do go ahead and claim them, I intend to first appear for SBR.
My question is whether it is wise to claim an exemption in FR, especially considering I don’t come from an IFRS background? Would SBR be too much to cope up with since I don’t have prior knowledge of IFRS/IAS? I am planning to use OpenTuition lectures and notes with an approved exam kit.

I’m well thanks.
If you can claim an exemption, then do so. Don’t waste time trying to pass an exam when you don’t need to sit it! The reason that you have the exemption is that you have the prior knowledge, so you just need to remember it.
To begin to remember it then work through the class notes as you’ll find that they recap all of the FR materials, so they quickly become familiar to you.
Good luck.
