I wanted to ask you that, I’ve heard some people who have cleared FR saying that ‘the best way to study FR is to dive straight into past papers and learn the models themselves and their application by studying the examiner’s answers very carefully and this will lead to a high mark. There is no need to waste time reading complicated and boring study texts or attending a tuition course. Past papers is all you need because in FR the questions are always sort of similar and repetitive in style so just rely on past papers and make them your life and soul for FR.” Is it okay to adopt this approach?

I think that this is possibly the worst way to study. Yes, you need to use the past exam papers but only for the revision phase. You fist need to understand the rules in the accounting standards and learn how to apply them to specific scenarios. Once you have done this then you can begin to practise the exam questions to exam conditions, i.e. to time and without any answers.
Thanks
