    Hi

You can choose to sit either and the choice will depend on your work and whether you will be using UK GAAP or IFRS. I’d presume you will be using IFRS more than UK GAAP.

    Thanks

Please what is the best approach to studying for the exam?

Study each chapter or standard and then practice questions on that area till I finish the syllabus?

Or finish the syllabus first, and then practice questions after?
So many resources to use as well with less time to go through them.
The thing is I tend to forget somethings after going through the whole syllabus and then practice questions after. It tends to stick better if i study each chapter and then practice questions on that chapter till i finish the syllabus then do general question practice but the issue with that strategy is that it is time consuming and I struggle with finishing the syllabus and end up falling short due to that. we all know that ACCA exams cover the entire syllabus.

Please what is your best advice.

    Hi,

I’d recommend that you look at the full syllabus first before you do any of the past exam questions.

Set yourself a timetable and be organised so that you give yourself enough time to work through the past exam questions.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for your response. Having said that, as we are in April now, is there still enough time for me to complete the syllabus and practice as many questions as I can? I have started studying and I have a few standards to go. Havnt touched anything Group related yet.

Secondly, after completing the syllabus study, what is your best advice on practicing questions and exam strategy and technique on the best way to pass.

Thanks for your contributions. Looking forward to your response.

    Hi,

Yes, you have plenty of time but you just need to be disciplined and stick to your timetable. You have nearly two months until the exam and you are already a large way through the syllabus.

Once complete, the only way forward is question practice under timed, exam conditions. you will find it hard initially but if you approach it like this then you will be well equipped for the exam.

    Good luck.

    Hi,

It doesn’t matter who the examiner is for the exam, it won’t make any difference to your approach or how you do on the day.

    Thanks
