At the start of each tax year Bob is being given a choice of using staff restaurant to which all colleagues have free access or £60 money vouchers towards his weekly lunches, for the rest of that year. Assume 46 working weeks.

    How will that affect him?

    A. No impact
    B. A taxable benefit of £2760

    Thanks a lot

You should have the answers to any question you are attempting – I’m here to assist if there is something in answer you do not understand – let me know if there is.

Firstly you should not be doing questions to which you do not have answers, the ACCA approved Exam Kits have hundreds of questions for you to attempt!
In terms of the question the first scenario is of course an exempt benefit and the second is fully taxable as it is indeed just a cash voucher
