ED Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting

Sir in this ED Chpt 3 under theh heading boundries of a reporting entity it says that if boundry is determined by direct control it will result in inconsolidated FS and if boundry is determined by both direct and indirect control then it will result in consolidated FS.

But isnt a subsidiary directly owned by a parent result in “direct control” and hence also result in consolidated FS?
