    investment $25,000

    maintenance
    Y1 – $5000
    Y2 – $6500

    trade-in value
    Y1 – $16000
    Y2 – $12000

calculation for Y2 maintenance and trade-in why (-$6500+$5500) why not (-$6500+$12000)
    is this new calculation?

This is the answer it gives ……

    $ 17495

The EAC is calculated as follows:
    Year 0 investment -25000*1 ……………… -25,000
    Year 1 maintenance -5000*0.909………………..-4545
    Year 2 maintenance and trade-in -6500+5500 = 826

    Total PV -30371

    Annuity factor for 2 years @10% 1.735

    EAC (-30371/1.735) 17,495

    There could be a mistake

It was just an honest mistake…..they are only humans after all
You must accept sometimes that things aren’t as they seem
And have the ability to move on
