Hello.
Is there anyone who took up ACCA but only took it half-way, say till F6 or maybe till F3 due to certain difficulties you faced whenever you’re preparing for the exams??
Such difficulties that I’m referring to are : nervous breakdowns, panic attacks, couldn’t sleep not eat, study with all the effort and yet such disappointing results or simply you don’t really understand the gist of the subject you’re taking etc? Because I experienced every single one of the factors listed and I am contemplating to discontinue taking up ACCA as I find it tough to cope and it does not interest me anymore.
September 14, 2018 at 5:17 am #474535Well, I will be honest with you here.
ACCA is not the same as a University Programme/Course… It is way harder than any university degree because it is a Professional Qualification. You study ACCA to become a PROFESSIONAL. They are not going to make the exams easy for any one.
Have you ever tried wondering why can’t you understand the gist of the matter?
May be because you haven’t read the notes properly or watched the videos properly… Or most importantly didn’t practice as many questions as you should. Are you using the right resources? Like do you have an exam kit by an ACCA Approved Content Provider?
Are you putting your efforts in the right place?
At times people do a lot of hard work but for the wrong thing or in the wrong direction.
Like, most commonly, ACCA students put a lot of efforts in LEARNING the matter and NOT understanding the concepts.. Which is wrong!
There are some who read, re-read, learn, re-learn the matter but don’t practice as many questions as they should. Which is wrong again! Are you analysing your mistakes when attempting questions and learning from them? Or are you simply solving them by peeking at the answers at the back of the kit?
Have you utilised the resources provided by ACCA on their website?
I know and understand it is tough… It will be surely challenging but ACCA has provided enough resources needed that will help us pass the exams. What I mean to say here is don’t question the qualification here, question yourself.
Students just need to have self confidence, believe in themselves that they can do it and be steady in giving their exams…just one paper per sitting.
Look I have absolutely NO intention to force you to stick in doing this qualification cuz that’s for YOU to decide!!
But can only advise you to think again… And if you think there are other options better for you then choose that. Cuz that’s absolutely upto you and your choice.
Hope this helps.

October 3, 2018 at 7:26 am #476186I think these things may happen because we are not going the right direction of study otherwise we thought so much on that thing and practically we are not applied it. So that case these things are happens. I just try not thinks so much on difficulties, just focus on study and practice all the paper and try to overcome all the difficulties.
October 11, 2018 at 12:45 pm #477316ACCA is no harder to any university degree, had pass rate been raised to say 85% – diffrerent story
