    Hello Tutors,

From your experience what are the chances of above 3 areas being tested in March paper?
and the chances of them being part of consolidation ?
and any other areas those have a good chance of being tested.

I understand we need to cover all areas of the syllabus in order to pass this paper which I’m doing my best , I’m just looking for a personal opinion / guess from your invaluable experience which I always find to be very helpful.
( and I understand any reply would be a personal opinion only & not to be relied up on )

And at last but not least , I would like to thank you for the amazing job you’re all doing here. the only difference between the courses we pay hundreds of pounds and opentuition is this is completely free!!

    Many thanks
    Lana

    Hi,

Firstly, thank you for your kind comments. As a team we try to give you the best possible chance of passing your exams. If there’s ever anywhere you feel we can improve then please just let us know.

All three have been recently tested, with both deferred tax and discontinued operations appearing in consolidations. If consolidated cash flows make an appearance then you can be sure that deferred tax will appear as part of it as it fits very well with the acquisition of a subsidiary.

The key with all the accounting standards is to ensure that you know the basics well. Don’t focus on the bits of minor detail; have a basic knowledge of everything and you can comfortably pass.

Whatever the question you can guarantee that there will be plenty of easy marks.

    Keep up the hard work.

    Thanks

    Hi

Thanks very much for your reply, I can see that you’ve replied 28th of Feb but for some reason I only see it in here today (I kept checking every day) not sure if that’s something at my end or system not updated at your end .. it doesn’t bother me but just thought would let you know.

I was kind of hoping cash flow would come but i’m not sure now as you’ve mentioned deferred tax (don’t like it)

    Thanks again

    Lana

    Hi Lana,

Thank you again for letting us know about the glitch in the timings of the post. I’ll speak to out IT guys to get them to have a look at it. Hopefully it was just an isolated incident.

Don’t let deferred tax put you off group cash flow. Just ignore the deferred tax aspect and do the rest of the question!

    Good luck.
