Inv in loan also. Loan made to subsidiary at acquisition date 60@6%. How would we adjust it in consolidation. And what difference would it make if same loan of 60@6% made to parent by subsidiary at acquisition. Also tell the interest adjustments. Thx
Hi,
Any intra-group loans are eliminated on consolidation, Alongside any intra-group interest. The direction of the loan just impacts where the asset and liability are recorded in the individual accounts. The lender will record the asset, and the borrower will record the liability.
Thanks
