    Dear Tutor.

Can you give me any advice on how to apply the Conceptual Framework to the Scenario type Questions that arise in Section B of the Exam Paper.

Are there any examples of applying this technique available from previous exam questions or Technical Articles.

    Thanking You.

    Bren C.

    Hi,

Past exam papers will help with this and the questions in the revision kit of your chosen tuition provided. Initially I’d try and keep it simple by thinking about the definitions in the framework, and then the recognition criteria. Once you’ve done that then you’ve secured the basic marks and then can think about some of the higher skills marks.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I bought the SBR books (until June 2019 examination sittings) from Kaplan for June sitting. Unfortunately i am not able to sit the exam in June and wonder whether i have to buy other books for September sitting. Please could you advise.

    Thank you

    Hi,

The syllabus does change in September, and whilst there are no significant changes in accounting standards, I do believe that the updated Framework will be included. I’ll be updating our notes and hopefully that will be sufficient so that you do not need to buy the updated texts.

    Thanks
